Biografia:
Galán de películas de acción, que inició su carrera cinematográfica al terminar su servicio durante la 2da Guerra Mundial. Su primer rol protagónico fue en el filme de John Ford "Sangre de Héroes" (Fort Apache), oportunidad que desperdició al empezar a frecuentar centros nocturnos y ser arrestado varias veces por conducir ebrio. Su matrimonio con Shirley Temple (1946-1949) le dió un período de popularidad y fama. Pero el alcoholismo terminó arruinando su carrera, relegándolo a producciones de bajo presupuesto.
